As a mature artist I take inspiration for my work from the experience and influences that I have acquired from my diverse and varied background. I try to incorporate ideas that have a personal resonance that I believe gives individuality to the works that I create. I studied Sculpture for 3 years at Dudley College utilizing a wide variety of facilities that were available to students for creating art. I graduated primarily as stone carver. I now use a variety of techniques and materials including wood, metal, and acrylic plastics in the creation of my sculpture. I recently graduated with a degree in Fine Art from the University of Wolverhampton having spent the last three years redefining my artistic education, and expanding my artistic outlook, while exploring “Art” in all its many and different aspects. I work full time as an artist from my studio, situated in the historical town of Ironbridge Shropshire.

Working at my Ironbridge studio creating sculpture gives me a great deal of personal pleasure, which hopefully will be incorporated and transmitted in the art that I produce. Having spent most of my working life in an engineering environment, I am looking forward to working as a full time artist.
